It's been a long time we had heart to heart talk........I miss you all. It is the season set aside for the celebration of children; children's day celebration is in the air. Today's broadcast promises to be entertaining an educating too.
"Children are the heritage of the Lord and the fruits of the womb is its reward." With this knowledge, adults should know that they have been made Care givers/ takers of this children so they must endeavour to play their part; fully convinced that "Every child is your child."
I will be sharing with us pratical ways of helping a child. These are technique used by me, learnt from my Hero - De Prince Owochowan Akache and the children at Sir Austine Group of Schools, Lagos, Nigeria.
Here they are:
The Cs
1. CRADLE: "The hand that cradles the ward, rules the world." In doing this, you indirectly gives the child confidence in you and himself to do exploits.
2. CORRECT: Never forsake the use of the rod of correction, for in them lies the power to drive off ill manners. In an attempt to correct the wrong doing of the child do it not with a heavy heart but from a heart that love the child as this goes a long way to build love in the heart of the child.
Remember, "When you beat him/her with the right hand, pull him/her closer with the left hand" thus, says an African proverb.
3. CONCERNTRATE: As a parent/ guardian, don't place your job, ambition, vision, business before the need of your children, they are not yours remember, they are given to you by your God to care for. It is very dangerous. Some of such children end up the opposite of their original dream/ self. Give them all the neccessary information, love, vare, attention, affection they need at every phase of their life, failure to do this will attract the opposite of thier dresms.
4. COMMUNE: Spend quality time interceding for your children before your God. Remember, "The spiritual governs the physical." when the need arises, it paves the way for them.
Conclusively, "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he won't depart from it." This day, place before you are two routes of choice, life or death, but i urge you to choose life .
